Egyptian table grapes are one of the earliest quality offers in the Northern Hemisphere season. Vineyards along the Cairo–Alexandria desert road and in the Delta start cutting in May — weeks ahead of most European production — giving importers early white and red seedless fruit with high sugars, crunchy berries and clean, well-filled bunches. That early window, combined with competitive pricing, has made Egypt a fixture in European retail and Gulf wholesale programs alike.

Varieties & Grades
Our export slate covers the season end to end: Early Sweet — the flagship early white seedless, opening the campaign in May; Superior (Sugraone) — large-berried white seedless with excellent bunch structure; Flame Seedless — the leading early red with crisp texture and strong colour; and Crimson Seedless — the late red that carries programs into August. Fruit is packed Class 1 with minimum berry sizes, Brix and colour coverage agreed per specification.
Sizes, Packing & Palletization
Grapes are packed field-fresh into punnets or bags inside 4.5 or 5 kg cartons, pre-cooled immediately and palletized with SO2 sheets for transit protection.

A 40ft reefer typically carries 18–20 tonnes net of packed grapes, around 4,000 cartons of 4.5–5 kg.
Season & Availability
The Egyptian grape season runs from May to August: Early Sweet in May–June, Superior and Flame in June–July, and Crimson from July into August. This bridges the gap between the Southern Hemisphere’s late shipments and the start of European harvests — the highest-value weeks of the year for fresh grapes.
Logistics & Shipping
Grapes are pre-cooled to near 0 °C within hours of harvest and shipped in reefer containers at −1 to 0 °C with SO2 pads in every carton. We load at Alexandria, Damietta, Sokhna and Port Said: 8–14 days to European ports for retail programs, 4–8 days to the Gulf via Sokhna, and longer Asian lanes quoted with appropriate packaging. Cold-chain integrity is documented from packhouse to port.
Quality & Documentation
Every container ships with a phytosanitary certificate and certificate of origin, plus destination-specific paperwork. Fruit is grown on GLOBALG.A.P.-certified partner farms — essential for European retail — and packed in HACCP and ISO-certified stations, with Brix, berry-size and condition checks recorded at packing and pallet temperatures verified at loading.
