Egyptian Spinach for Export
Fresh Egyptian spinach is a true cool-season leaf: broad, deep-green foliage cut in the mild months from November onward, when Delta fields deliver tender leaves free of the bolting and bitterness that heat brings. It is harvested by hand in the early morning, washed or field-trimmed to buyer preference, and rushed through the cold chain the same day.
Egypt’s winter is the origin story here — while much of Europe’s field leaf production pauses, Egyptian growers cut spinach continuously through the season at open-field costs. PEIVANA fits the way leaf buyers actually purchase: a pallet or three inside a mixed winter-vegetable reefer rather than a dedicated container, mid-size weekly volumes, and same-day quotes so a perishable decision never waits overnight.
Varieties & Grades
We supply smooth- and semi-savoy-leaf varieties bred for thick, dark leaves and slow bolting. Export product is offered as whole plants with short root crowns (traditional Middle Eastern preference), cut leaves with stems, or trimmed leaf for processing. Class 1 spinach is turgid, uniformly green, free of yellowing, flower stems and soil residue beyond tolerance.

Season & Availability
The Egyptian export window runs from November to March, with the sweetest, thickest leaves in the coldest weeks of December–February. Successive sowings keep weekly volumes stable across the season.
Logistics & Shipping
Spinach demands the coldest fresh-produce settings: reefers at 0–2°C with around 95% humidity, after rapid pre-cooling at the packhouse. Short lanes matter for leaf — we prioritise Gulf and Mediterranean Europe services from Alexandria, Damietta, Sokhna and Port Said, and place spinach in mixed reefers with other low-temperature winter vegetables such as cabbage and herbs. Air freight is available for premium washed-leaf programs.
Quality & Documentation
Leaf is grown on GLOBALG.A.P-certified partner farms and handled in HACCP and ISO-certified packhouses with washing, spin-drying and cold-chain control as the program requires. Each shipment includes a phytosanitary certificate and certificate of origin, with nitrate, microbiological and pesticide-residue testing available to meet EU and GCC leaf-vegetable requirements.
Why Buy From PEIVANA
Nobody imports a full container of spinach alone — so we never ask you to. Slot spinach pallets into a mixed load with cabbage, zucchini and peppers at compatible temperatures, keep volumes at the mid-size level your shelf actually turns, and get every price the same day. That is buying leaf the sensible way.
