Egyptian Cabbage for Export
Egyptian cabbage is a winter workhorse: dense, heavy heads of white and red cabbage cut from Delta fields through the cool months, trimmed in the field and moved into the cold chain the same day. It is a high-yield, honestly priced vegetable that anchors winter programs for wholesalers, caterers and processors across the Gulf, Europe and Africa.
Egypt’s advantage is a mild winter that lets cabbage size up slowly in open fields — firm heads, good wrapper leaves and low production costs at exactly the time northern-hemisphere stocks are running on storage quality. PEIVANA’s flexible model suits cabbage perfectly: it is a natural base layer for mixed winter-vegetable containers, works in mid-size volumes, and — like every PEIVANA line — gets a same-day quote.
Varieties & Grades
We supply white (green) cabbage in round and flat-head hybrids and red cabbage for salad and processing programs, with pointed (sweetheart) types by arrangement. Class 1 heads are compact and heavy for size, well-trimmed with 2–3 wrapper leaves, free of cracking, pest damage and yellowing. Head-weight bands are selected per market — smaller heads for retail, large for catering and processing.

Season & Availability
The Egyptian export window runs from November to April, peaking December–March when head quality and field volumes are at their best. Successive plantings keep weekly programs steady across the whole window.
Logistics & Shipping
Cabbage ships in reefer containers at 0–2°C with around 95% humidity, giving weeks of transit tolerance — enough for Gulf, European, Asian and African lanes alike. We load from Alexandria, Damietta, Sokhna and Port Said. Because cabbage tolerates the coldest fresh settings, it stows perfectly with spinach, herbs and other 0°C vegetables in a mixed reefer, while denser loads travel as straight FCL for processors.
Quality & Documentation
Heads are grown on GLOBALG.A.P-certified partner farms and packed through HACCP and ISO-certified stations with pre-cooling before stuffing. Every shipment includes a phytosanitary certificate and certificate of origin, with pesticide-residue analysis available to destination-market MRLs on request.

We welcome mid-size volumes that big packers turn away, and we price every enquiry the same day it arrives.
