Green beans are one of Egypt’s flagship winter vegetable exports, and for good reason: the fine and extra-fine pods cut in the Delta and along the desert fringe between October and May arrive in Europe straight, slim and snap-crisp at a time when local supply simply does not exist. Varieties & Grades
Bobby, fine and extra-fine grades are separated by pod diameter. Extra-fine (typically under 6.5 mm) is the premium retail grade: straight, stringless, seed development barely visible. Fine (6.5–9 mm) covers most retail and foodservice programs, while bobby beans serve wholesale markets. All grades are hand-picked, topped on request, and sorted to remove curved, blemished or over-mature pods.

Season & Availability
The export season runs October through May, peaking from November to March. Sequential plantings keep fresh cutting available all winter, and programs can be scheduled weekly or biweekly with volumes stepped up as your season builds.
Logistics & Shipping
We ship both ways. Air freight from Cairo delivers extra-fine beans to European and Gulf markets within 24–48 hours of harvest. Sea freight in reefer containers at 5–7°C with high humidity moves larger volumes economically from Alexandria, Damietta, Sokhna and Port Said to Europe, the Gulf and further afield — with green beans frequently sharing a mixed reefer with lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes.
Quality & Documentation
Each consignment carries a phytosanitary certificate and certificate of origin. Beans are grown on GLOBALG.A.P-certified partner farms under documented spray programs matched to EU and Gulf MRLs, and packed in HACCP/ISO-certified packhouses with full cold-chain records and pre-shipment QC reports.
