Egyptian Peppers for Export
Egyptian colored capsicum — red, yellow, orange and green bell peppers — has become a serious winter alternative to Spanish and Dutch supply. Grown under protective tunnels and greenhouses in the Delta and desert-reclamation zones, the fruit combines thick walls, glossy skin and long shelf life with Egypt’s structural advantage: abundant winter sunshine when northern production runs on expensive heated glass.
That cost gap is why Gulf and European buyers increasingly program Egyptian peppers from autumn to late spring. PEIVANA’s contribution is agility — mixed containers where peppers share a reefer with zucchini, cabbage or other winter vegetables, mid-size weekly volumes for regional distributors, and quotes back the same day you write to us.
Varieties & Grades
We supply blocky bell-type hybrids in red, yellow, orange and green, plus mixed-color “traffic light” packs on request. Class 1 fruit is firm, uniform in shape and colour coverage, with fresh green calyx and no cracking, sunscald or decay. Chilli and sweet pointed types can be added to a program by arrangement.

Season & Availability
The Egyptian export window runs from October to June, with strongest volumes December through April — precisely the months when European protected production is at its most expensive. Weekly programs are planned pre-season with volume flexibility as harvest develops.
Logistics & Shipping
Peppers ship in reefer containers set at 7–8°C with around 90% humidity — cool enough to slow ripening, warm enough to avoid chilling injury. Departures from Alexandria, Damietta, Sokhna and Port Said serve the Gulf in under a week and European ports on short Mediterranean lanes; Asian and African lanes are quoted case by case. Peppers are ideal anchors for mixed winter-vegetable reefers.
Quality & Documentation
Production comes from GLOBALG.A.P-certified partner greenhouses, packed in HACCP and ISO-certified packhouses with pre-cooling before stuffing. Documentation includes phytosanitary certificate, certificate of origin and, where buyers require, pesticide-residue reports against EU or GCC MRLs issued before shipment.
Why Buy From PEIVANA
Most distributors don’t need 20 pallets of one color — they need a smart container: red, yellow and green peppers plus zucchini and cucumbers in one load. That is our specialty. Add mid-size weekly volumes, private-label retail packs and same-day pricing, and you have a winter supplier built around how you actually buy.
Program season is booked in late summer — request a quote and secure your October–June supply.
